Bulldogs Advance to Super Regionals After Dramatic Victory Over Georgia Tech
Georgia Bulldogs baseball team has had a successful season so far, advancing to the Super Regionals of the NCAA Tournament after a dramatic victory over rival Georgia Tech.
The Bulldogs rallied for an 8-6, 10-inning victory over the Yellow Jackets in the Athens Regional final on Sunday night, sending Georgia to its fifth Super Regional appearance in the past six years.
Georgia will now face NC State in the Super Regionals, with the winner advancing to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Bulldogs are the No. 7 national seed in the tournament, while NC State is the No. 10 seed. The two teams will play a best-of-three series, with the first game scheduled for Monday night at 7 p.m. ET.
Georgia is looking to reach the College World Series for the first time since 2008. The Bulldogs have won four national championships in baseball, the most recent coming in 1990.
